Cancer Research UK - 10k Run Registration

Linea has been solutions provider for Cancer Research UK (CRUK) since 2005. Among other implementations there we have delivered a business critical web application.


November 2007

This year's 10k fundraising event has been the most successful ever. The registration forms that Linea has built and maintained has been a key part of this achievement.

September 2006

Around 30.000 people registered for 10k race >> this year . Each participant pays an entry fee and is able to sign up more people.

We built the registration forms in Java Struts framework and used Hibernate to persist the details to the database. Linea has successfully integrated external systems: the payment system World Pay >> and postcode address lookup from QAS >>.

Linea has provided ways of feeding the data captured through the forms to the Customer Relationship and Financial systems.

Success Criteria

• Stability of the web applications has been greatly improved in comparison to the previous year
• Client satisfaction has been measured 5/5
• Project has been delivered on time and budget.
